Obtain Test Results

Whenever possible, please ring for test results after 1pm on 0845 121 2344.

Most tests take approximately 7-10 working days to return, with specialised tests taking longer. X ray and scan results are usually received by the practice 14 days after the test was performed. It is your responsibility to telephone for results, as we process large numbers of tests each day and are unable to telephone individual results.

The doctor will leave a brief message with your test result such as “normal”, “repeat in six months”, “see the doctor” etc which the Receptionist will convey to you when you telephone. In the interests of safety and confidentiality the Receptionist does not have access to more detailed or technical interpretation of your tests.
