If you have travel plans and need travel advice and/or vaccinations, please collect or download a travel health questionnaire prior to your appointment and bring it with you when you see the nurse. Our Practice Nurse is highly skilled and has been trained to provide a wide range of nursing and paramedical services, including health promotion (e.g. hypertension screening, family surveillance, over 75 checks¹, well man/woman checks², new patient medical checks³, lifestyle management and advice on weight and alcohol consumption), chronic disease management, travel advice and vaccination, phlebotomy (including INR monitoring), cervical cytology and breast examination for women and, in conjunction with the Doctors, prostate screening for men. Specialised annual review clinics for patients with a history of coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, asthma or COPD are run jointly with the Doctors. 1. Annual checks at patient's request if not attended surgery in last 12 months 2. Available at patient's request if not attended surgery in previous 3 years 3. Please make an appointment for this check within 6 months of registration.
